3. Presto 02811 12-Cup Stainless Steel Coffee Maker

This percolator is set apart from the others as it is not a stovetop percolator, but rather one with a hot plate and its own heating surface, cord, and complete setup. The Presto Maker can make two to twelve cups of coffee, suitable for all family sizes.

The built-in hot plate keeps the coffee warm throughout the morning and the day, and it automatically works to warm it without having to press any special buttons or program it. When the coffee is done, the hot plate also has a light that glows to signal that it is ready to poor.

Different from the others, the Presto is made of stainless steel, which is also fairly easy to clean. Plus, as it detached from the hot plate bottom, it is easy to clean every part of the product.

The percolator comes with a filter basket, as usual, to fill with grounds, as the bottom is meant to be filled with water. The Presto product has a perk tube, which is something that makes it seem more rustic and traditional, adding to the appearance and appeal, making it a nice product to keep out on the counter.

Like the last maker, this one is also an electric pot with a heated plate under it, rather than a stovetop accessory. The handle of the pot is a cool touch handle, allowing for it not to be too hot to grab. The handle also provides a sleek addition to the copper color of the pot.

The hot plate on this product is also set up to keep the coffee you brewed warm throughout the morning and the day, allowing you to come back to it for another cup when needed. Also equipped with a light, the hot plate will notify you in the different stages of brewing and warming.

Another with a perk tube, it has a beautiful rustic design that makes it a good addition to the countertop while also being functional in the pouring process. 1. Presto percolator is supposed to be stainless steel and non toxic.I have heard it is not stainless steal and has toxic parts inside like plastic. Is this true???

  2. From a Presto rep Aug 2022: ‚Our 12 and 6 cup coffee makers both have the aluminum perk well and nut.
Thank you for considering Presto products.‘
Nerp! No thanks. Nobody has a coffee maker or percolator that the drinkable end product (coffee) hasn’t come in contact with either aluminum, chemical steel coatings, PFOS‘s like BPA or BPS or Phthalates from unsafe plastics that were heated and condensed and fell back into the container to be absorbed by your body. Welcome to a very hellish search for the Holy Grail of coffee makers. If you get a Chem-x or Stainless Steel French Press, you’re still going to be left searching for a water heater that doesn’t also have these chemicals for your body to absorb. And, to top it off, none are made here in America. Start up, anyone?
